You're a smart and capable person who manages a lot. At work. At home. And in life.

You’ve always been a responsible doer, and from the outside, it seems like you’re pretty darn good at handling it all. But inside, you’re anxious, overwhelmed and struggle to feel good about yourself.

The truth is, you think you’re not good enough, not doing enough, and worry that you’re not accomplishing enough. You feel disappointed and dissatisfied more than you want to admit. Sometimes it feels like you’re running on empty and barely keeping it together.

I know that’s an isolating feeling. And if you get nothing else from this moment, please know:

I’ve been there too and want to share some good news.

If we haven't met yet, I’m Stephannie Weikert.

I'm a Certified Yoga Therapist and creator of Make Peace with Stress, Shift Happens, and Reset + Restore. I’m a loving mentor who will teach you how to use your inner challenges as catalysts for growth with the time-tested wisdom of yoga.

Here's the story about how I got here and why I do this good work. Thanks for the opportunity to share it with you.

[Aileen H]

There was a time in my life that my stress and shame was so bad it initiated a body-focused repetitive behavior.

I pulled on my eyebrows and eyelashes. And eventually pulled them all out.

One day I saw—really saw—myself in the bathroom mirror. I saw someone who desperately wanted to feel better, to stop feeling on edge, overwhelmed and insecure all the time.

In that moment, something inside me knew I had a decision I had to make. And the choice was simple: stay stuck and unhappy or take charge and change my life.

Seeing my own despondent face with no eyebrows or eyelashes was a low point for me, but I really wanted to be more clear-headed, calm, and to feel good about myself.

So after more than a decade of not coping with my persistent stress, I made a simple decision. I resolved to do everything I could to take charge of this one stress-fueled behavior.

After making this decision, when I caught myself pulling on eyebrows or eyelashes, that weren’t even there, I’d bend over and take a few deep breaths, and say to myself, you can stop yourself.

And I felt better right away!

At first, I only felt better for a few minutes at a time, but I was onto something because the experience showed me I could take charge of a moment of distress and shift how I felt inside.

This revelation didn't change everything right away, but during the next year, I kept forward bending when I felt stressed, overwhelmed, or frustrated.

I’d breathe slowly and focus my attention on what I actually wanted to feel in that moment.

And even though my eyebrows and eyelashes started growing back, I kept forward bending when I felt stressed, taking slow breaths, and shifting my attention from struggling to what I wanted.

This process initiated + fueled massive personal growth and I’m still using it 20 years later.

Not long after learning to take charge of myself and practice making an inner shift happen, I found yoga.

I was astonished to discover that my experience of forward bending, slow breathing, and focusing my attention, was straight from this ancient, healing system. So I started practicing and studying it.

In 2004, I became a Certified Yoga Therapist and for the next decade taught yoga therapy for stress in yoga studios, hospitals, businesses and to many clients 1:1 in my private studio.

During this time one thing was confirmed over and over:

The insights and practices that changed my life are a simple, potent, and effective process that facilitates massive personal growth.

So in 2014, I created Make Peace with Stress with a mission to teach this process to as many people as possible as my way of making a positive difference in the world. I’ve been honored to guide and support some amazing people like you through the program.

And here’s that really good news— something I’m so proud and confident to share:

If you’re ready to stop struggling, to take charge of your life so that you can start being the present, calm + confident person you are meant to be, I personally guarantee that Make Peace with Stress will be a catalyst for your transformation.
